Hosted by BSC, one of Europe’s top high-performance computing institutions, the General Assembly provided a platform to strengthen collaboration and align on technical and strategic goals. Partners shared updates and key outcomes from the project’s first six months, reaffirming their commitment to a secure, scalable, and sustainable edge AI ecosystem.
STRENGTHENING THE VISION FOR EDGE AI
EdgeAI-Trust, funded under the Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU), is a collaborative effort among Europe’s top industry leaders, research institutions, and innovators. It focuses on delivering solutions that enable real-time collaboration of edge devices while prioritizing security, energy efficiency, and scalability. The General Assembly highlighted the consortium’s achievements and solidified a forward-looking strategy to achieve the project’s ambitious goals.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MEETING
The discussions focused on:
- Current progress across key work packages (WP1, WP2, and WP7), including advancements in architecture development, use cases, and stakeholder engagement.
- Workshops and parallel sessions held to address specific challenges and opportunities in decentralized AI, security, and scalability.
- Next steps for dissemination, communication, and stakeholder outreach to ensure the project's visibility and impact across industry, academia, and policy-making communities.
